Java-Robots
Play online
This form allows you to play Java robots online. You will need a Java-enabled web browser for this to work. Scroll down to see an explanation of what these options mean.
Explanation of options
- Number of replays:
Number of times to play the same game over again. This allows you to run the game many times to test the long-term odds on a particular robot. - Play mode:
Visual: Watch the game progress.
Fast: Play the game as fast as possible. Useful for testing odds on many games. - Video display:
Faster: No double-buffering
Flicker-free: Enables double-buffering to eliminate flickering during the game. This may be necessary on slower computers. - Show names: When set to "anonymous only" the robot names are not shown during gameplay.
- Robot selection:
This is where you select which robots will fight. For example, to fight "Sniper" against two "Rabbit" robots: set Robot #1 to "Sniper," Robot #2 to "Rabbit," and Robot #3 to "Rabbit." - Team names:
To place robots on teams, enter a name in the box below the robot. Robots that have the same team name will not fight against each other. (Although they are not smart enough to cooperate either).
